Today, we’re sharing a new statewide naloxone access option for individuals: Just in Case Oregon.
Just in Case Oregon mails free nasal naloxone directly to individuals anywhere in Oregon through a simple online request form. It was developed as part of Oregon’s broader naloxone access expansion work, funded through the Rural Health Transformation Grant.
Just in Case Oregon is an additional way to access naloxone, not a replacement for your agency’s community-based distribution efforts.
Your work as Save Lives Oregon partners continues to be a critical part of Oregon’s naloxone access strategy, providing naloxone directly to people at higher risk of overdose and the communities around them. Just in Case Oregon adds a direct-to-individual mail option for community members.
Community members can now order at JustInCaseOregon.org.

The program is intentionally low barrier:
- No cost, no prescription, no insurance, no ID and no explanation of need
- Plain packaging
- Two boxes of nasal naloxone, for a total of four doses
- Step-by-step educational materials included with every order
How Just in Case Oregon can help expand naloxone access in your community
Please continue distributing naloxone directly to people at increased risk of overdose and substance use-related harm. Just in Case Oregon can be another tool you share alongside the naloxone you already provide.
For example:
- If you give someone naloxone and they may want a mail-order option for themselves, friends or family in the future, you can also give them a Just in Case Oregon flyer.
- If you are tabling at a community event, you can have both naloxone and Just in Case Oregon flyers available.
- You can hang the flyer in your office, waiting room or other community spaces.
- You can share JustInCaseOregon.org with people who may have difficulty getting to an in-person naloxone distribution site, particularly in rural communities.

We are beginning with a purposeful, partner-led launch and will continue learning from partners about what materials and outreach approaches are most useful, particularly in rural communities facing greater barriers to naloxone access.
